On June 30, 2023, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) closed registration for the CA Intermediate session in November 2023. CA Intermediate Registration commenced for the May 2024 semester on July 1, 2023. In order to prepare for the CA Inter examinations in May 2024, the updated education and training strategy will be used. Routes for CA Intermediate Registration 2023
There are two ways, as was already indicated, for candidates to register for the ICAI’s CA Intermediate course. The foundation route is the first choice, while the straight entry option is the second. First, let’s distinguish between the two scenarios.
1.The Foundation Route : The Chartered Accountancy course is separated into three levels by the ICAI.CA Foundation, CA Intermediate, and CA Final. After passing CA Foundation, candidates may enrol in CA Intermediate 2023. Such candidates are not required to have a bachelor’s or master’s degree.
- Straight Entry Route – Candidates may submit a straight application for admission to the CA Intermediate programme if they have completed their undergraduate or graduate degrees or are in their final year of study. Candidates do not need to sign up for or pass the CA Foundation exam if they select this option. The CA Intermediate exam can now be taken, and they can continue their study.

Documents Required for CA Intermediate Registration
Candidates must provide the following documents to the relevant ICAI regional office together with a printout of the online registration form within seven (7) days of the date of the CA Intermediate 2023 online registration. All paperwork needs to be fully signed.
For individuals applying through the CA Foundation route, a certified copy of their Class 12 transcript is required, or an equivalent Central Government recognised examination pass marks statement.

Validity of CA Intermediate Registration
A CA Intermediate course registration is valid for four (4) years and may be renewed for another four (4) years. After the initial registration period has finished, candidates may be required to revalidate their registrations by paying a revalidation fee of Rs. 400 or in accordance with other requirements from time to time established by the council.
